Jin Shin Jyutsu is based on the premise that our bodies contain energy pathways feeding life into all cells. When one of more of these paths become blocked, this leads to discomfort or pain. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a body-mind release method using gentle, direct pressure of the hands or fingers on the points of these energy pathways, (mirroring acupuncture points), to release stress and tension, reduce pain and discomfort, increase awareness and re-establish energy balance in the body and psyche. It facilitates a deep state of relaxation. “Jin” is knowing compassion, “Shin” is Creator, and “Jyutsu” is art: the Creator’s art through being compassionate.
